Amazon - Machupicchu 8d/7n

Day 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo (Inkas Sacred Valley)

Family Nazca At the airport of Cusco, the local guide and the bus will lead the group to the Inkas Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo Village, lunch on the way at a local restaurant, and then head to Ollantaytambo, a village with Inkas and Colonial buildings, overnight in Pakaritampu Hotel. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 2: Ollantaytambo – Machupicchu – Cusco

Family NazcaIn the morning we will take our train to Machu Picchu, visit the archaeological site of Machu Picchu, returning the same evening by train to Ollanta, the bus will take as to Cusco, overnight at Andes de America Hotel. Dinner Show

Day 3: Cusco

Family Nazca Free morning, after Lunch we are going to visit the Archeological sites around Cusco, like Koricancha, Pucapucara, Sacsayhuamán, Tambomachay and Quenqo, City tour, Dinner Show, night at los Andes de America.

Day 4: Cusco – Mazuco

We will start very early in the morning, traveling 10 hours by a private bus, asceding to the highest mountain of 15583 feet. msm. where we stop to apreciate the spectacular view of the Mountains, llamas and alpacas next to the rout, descending to Maracapata valley with nice birds and hummingbirds, start the vegetation covering the mountains and the green colour became a dominant as far we go down to Mazuco.

Arriving Mazuco goldmining village late in the afthernoon, 1640 feet msm. Night at basic hotel.

Day 5: Mazuko Village - Amazon Manu Lodge

Family Nazca Early in the morning we start our trip to Santa Rosa village where we cross the inambari river, changing to small station wagon car to reach Colorado village, from this place we are going to travel by motorized canoe for four hours up Madre De Dios River, in the way we are going to have the opportunity to see caiman, capibara, monkeys and birds, box lunch on the way.

On the way we visit the Blanco owbox lake, where we look for the family of Giant river otters, moving with the catamaran around the lake by paddling, chanse to see birds like Hoatzin, horned screamer and Monkeys.

Arriving late on the afternoon and spending the night at our AML lodge with hot shower.

Day 6: Macaw Clay Lick -Tapir Mammal Clay Lick

Family NazcaOn this day there will be a 45 minute boat ride down the Madre de Dios River, to the Macaw Clay Lick. At approximately 6am you will be treated to the sight of hundreds of Parakeets, Parrots and Macaw arriving at the lick to eat the clay, to get mineral supplies and help to digest the toxic fruit substance. This is a spectacular sight and is said to be one of the highlights of the trip. Species you can expect to see include: Red and Green Macaw, Yellow Crowned, Mealy, Blue Headed, Orange-Cheeked Parrot, Dusky Headed and White Eyed Parakeets.

Lunch at the Lodge, after short rest your Guide will take for hike on the trails to have the possibility to see some of the 13 species of Monkeys and birds and visit the metal canopy tower of 31 meters high, to see the canopy forest.

After dinner your guide will take you to a platform overlooking a Mammal clay lick in the heart of the forest. Here you can experience the incredible sounds of the night and experience the night walk. Optional if you like to sleep all night at the platform, it has mosquito net, mattress and cover shit.

If not after activity you could go back to the lodge which is located 20 minutes walking away from the mammal clay lick to the Lodge. Animals that may visit the clay lick are the Tapir (a large mammal found in the Amazon), Deer and the Agouti paca.

Day 7: Amazon Manu Lodge - Puerto Maldonado

Family Nazca Early in the morning we will visit the canopy Tower, trail walk to the Lodge and take our boat to Colorado village, breakfast on the boat. We will continue our trip to Puerto Maldonado, arriving at night, night at Anaconda Lodge or similar.

Day 8: Airport Transfer

After breakfast, We are going to make the transfer to the airport, End of our service.
